Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about ordering, licensing, billing and support.

Ordering

How do I place an order?

Choose a product, check the price and select Request a quote. Our team confirms your order details and sends the next steps by email, usually within one business day. For services such as migration, we send a written quote.

Can I order for my whole team?

Yes. Set the quantity to the number of users or devices you need. For larger rollouts, contact us and we will help you plan them.

Do I need a Microsoft 365 account first?

No. If you do not have a Microsoft 365 tenant yet, we can set one up for you as part of your order.

Do I need to accept the Microsoft Customer Agreement?

Yes, for Microsoft cloud subscriptions. An authorised person in your business accepts it before the subscription is created. We send it to you with your order.

Products and prices

Are prices per user or per device?

Microsoft 365, Teams and Exchange plans are priced per user. Windows and Office licenses are priced per device, Windows Server per set of cores, and CALs per user or device. Each product page shows the unit under the price.

What is the difference between annual and monthly billing?

Annual plans cost about 20% less and fix the price for 12 months. Monthly plans cost more but let you reduce users at each monthly renewal. You can add users at any time on both.

Which Microsoft 365 plan should I choose?

Business Basic suits teams that work in the browser, Business Standard adds the desktop Office apps, and Business Premium adds security and device management. Compare them on our Microsoft 365 page.

How many Windows Server core licenses do I need?

License every physical core in the server, with a minimum of 8 per processor and 16 per server. See the examples on our server licensing page, or send us your server model and we will confirm.

Do I need CALs for Windows Server?

Yes. Every user or device that accesses Windows Server needs a User or Device CAL, and Remote Desktop users also need an RDS CAL.

Should I buy Office 2024 or Microsoft 365?

Office 2024 is a one-time purchase with security updates only. Microsoft 365 is a subscription with the latest apps, business email, Teams and cloud storage. See the comparison on our Office page.

Do you sell to businesses outside the UK?

Yes. Licenses are delivered digitally to businesses in most countries, with prices in US dollars. We confirm availability for your country before your order is processed.

Licensing

What is the difference between a subscription and a perpetual license?

A subscription is paid monthly or annually and includes updates while it is active. A perpetual license is paid once for a specific version and does not expire.

Do subscriptions renew automatically?

Yes, so your users are not interrupted. You can turn off automatic renewal at any time before the renewal date, and we remind you before an annual subscription renews.

Can I reduce the number of users?

Yes, within 7 days (168 hours) of purchase or renewal, or at the end of the term.

Can I move a license to a new computer?

It depends on the license type and Microsoft’s license terms.

Billing

Which currency are prices in?

Prices are in US dollars (USD). Any taxes that apply are shown at checkout before you pay.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, and we never store your full card details.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Orders can be cancelled before delivery, subscriptions within 7 days of purchase or renewal, and unactivated perpetual licenses within 14 days of delivery. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Support

When is support available?

Our team is available Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 UK time, by phone and email.

How long does delivery take?

Subscriptions and perpetual licenses are usually delivered within one business day of payment.

Will you need access to my Microsoft 365 tenant?

Only if setup or support needs it. We request access through Microsoft’s granular delegated admin privileges (GDAP): you approve it, it is limited and time limited, and you can remove it at any time.

Do you help with setup?

Yes. We offer setup, migration and device configuration services. Tell us what you need on our contact page.
